Context and Challenges
Teréga is one of France's leading multi-energy infrastructure operators, developing and operating transmission and storage networks subject to stringent security requirements and regulatory compliance obligations.
With an entirely manual access management process and no IAM solution in place, Teréga first evaluated every player on the market without finding a satisfactory answer to its needs. The company then considered building an in-house solution, before Memority emerged as the only platform able to meet every defined criterion, particularly the ability to simultaneously manage multiple identity populations with very different underlying logics.
Three key populations are covered:
- Internal employees
- External contractors, whose management represented a particular challenge in terms of traceability and control
- Looking ahead, public identities (local authorities and institutions) set to access certain services operated by Teréga
After a thorough exploration of the market, Teréga was considering developing its own solution in-house. It was then that the company discovered Memority, a comprehensive Identity and Access Management platform that precisely met its expectations. Unlike the other tools evaluated, which offered only partial coverage, Memority stood out for its ability to manage all of Teréga's digital identities end-to-end.

Teréga's Challenges Before Memority
No IAM Tooling
Teréga was starting from an entirely manual situation: access assigned by hand, no central repository, no consolidated visibility over actual access rights in place.
Unstructured Contractor Management
With no IAM solution in place, managing the contractor lifecycle in a rigorous and traceable way was simply not possible.
Heterogeneous Populations with Distinct Logics
Simultaneously managing internal employees, contractors with contractual lifecycles, and institutional public identities required a platform flexible enough to model very different business rules.
What Teréga Gained with Memority
A single repository centralising all identities, access rights, the application landscape and associated entitlements, with complete real-time visibility across the entire information system.
Massive automation: 97% of the 70,000 role assignments are now processed automatically, based on a fully modelled entitlement framework.
A fully automated and traceable contractor management process, anchored in contractual logic and systematically tied to a specific engagement, ensuring no access persists beyond the term of the contract.
An extensible data model with over 50 objects modelled around identity (positions, organisations, contracts, badges, signatures, tickets, suppliers…) reflecting the functional depth deployed and enabling a strong link between digital identities and physical access rights.
