At Memority, we organize two crisis management exercises per year with our decision-makers. This year, we have taken the initiative to make it a real awareness campaign by involving all our employees.
Why extend crisis simulations to all employees?
We involved all the teams in a simulation with a twist: each participant plays a role that is not their own on a daily basis. This “live my life” approach highlights the practical challenges of crisis management to those who are not generally exposed to it.
The benefits are concrete:
- A common culture is built: everyone understands the challenges of a crisis management team and the difficulty of decisions, communication. Everyone understands the importance of safety, risk management and to be fully involved in daily life to prevent a crisis from occurring.
- Responsiveness and collaboration are improving: best practices are spreading throughout the organization, not only at the leadership level. Everyone understands how they will be able to provide effective and relevant assistance to this crisis team if a serious incident occurs.
- The importance of communication is highlighted: the exercise reveals why it is an essential subject in times of crisis, often underestimated but always decisive. Everyone understands the importance of controlled, consistent and transparent communication.

The exercise was led by our partners at CGI Business Consulting, who also produced the video in which Aymeric Berrendonner, CISO at Memority, reflects on the approach and key decisions behind the organization of this exercise.
